I had this classmate. From school days were used to her absence as she represented Ktka. From her we came to know the mess that Indian sports is. The Sport Authority exists for official's only. Players use their own resources to train and then have to get into the officials good books for a berth to any sporting event. She was telling me how during National Hockey Selections, players form Punjab deliberately passed the balls amongst themselves even though they were on opposite teams, so that their people could get selected!
