The real patriotism and pride of being an Indian should, I feel, be reflected in the pesonality of every Indian, it has to be seen the day-to-day behaviour of every Indian, it has to be seen in the sensitivity we Indians show particularly to fellow Indians, it has to be seen in the desire to see better Indians and a better India.

but unlike xylene I love this country and The national flag/anthem DO give me goose bumps.As we love our near and dear ones with all the bags and baggages, i love this country with all the shortfallings. :)

I love this country although I am not patriotic. The national flag/anthem do not give me goose bumps.
I guess that we still have a long way to go. We have lot of hurdles, poverty being the biggest issue. I guess now that market has opened up, with more employment and opportunities, we would be growing at a pace that can be never imagined.

Dear scorpio, a good one there again, after being regular on youtube, watching every possible videos which shows how India is developing, for example, chandrayaan, bandra-worli sea link, delhi metro etc. i used to get frustrated when reading those comments posted by, may be westerners or people from porkistan, really disguisting!!!!! tell you the truth, western media is having a very big hand in this, i was once, a regular viewer of BBC's Asia today, Asia business report etc, ( now i stopped viewing them ) have you ever seen the footages they show when any thing realted to India come, really pathetic, so when people from other countries see this, these people will become reluctant to shrug off the stereotypes. A solid solution for this may be, either Indian media go global or BBC, CNN, NBC etc become bankrupt, so that they are no more in business.
